in recent times seems to be the clearly older building, having been built in the year 1646. After William Benson the estate probably belonged to his unmarried daughter Elizabeth. Who might have become the owner immediately after her death in 1809 is unknown but eventually (by 1835 the latest) it went to the heir of William's sister

. The last Dickson inhabitants were G.F.Dickson's great-grandson John Dickson (died in 1979) and his wife Daphne (died in 1995).
